This is one of my favorite summer smoothie recipes, as you can use fresh fruit instead of frozen. Although there is nothing wrong
with frozen of course, but I love fresh pineapple in the summer and this smoothie really showcases the tropical flavor.
- 1½ cups unflavored coconut water
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 1½ cups fresh pineapple, cut up plus about ¼ cup fresh pineapple juice (optional)
- 1½ cups frozen or fresh mango
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- Place all ingredients into a high power blender and blend until smooth. If using fresh fruit, add a generous handful of ice.
